Diplomatic Passport Issuance

You can request for a Diplomatic Passport which is an official travel document issued to the Royal families in the UAE and members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps, in addition to a specific category of Emirati citizens holding top government and local positions in the UAE. This passport facilitates a variety of significant tasks serving the UAE interests. A Diplomatic Passport grants its holders certain privileges, including ease of procedures and transactions, ease of movement and travel.


  • Log into MoFAIC Website: by entering the username and password shared with entities authorized to apply for the service
  • Select one of the Diplomatic Passport service options. Then, click “Start Service” to fill in the service application form, and attach the required documents.
  • You will receive an email with a Reference Number confirming that the application was successful.
  • You will receive an email informing you that the passport is ready for collection.

  • A letter from the requesting entity
  • Copy of the decree or resolution related to the concerned person if the entitlement is related to a post

  • Recent colour photograph of the applicant facing the camera directly, with white background (4x6 cm), and wearing the UAE national attire or a formal suit.
