President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has conferred the Medal of Independence of the First Order on the late Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UAE, Sergey Kuznetsov.
The ceremony of handing over the medal to the family of the late ambassador took place at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow, where Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia, presented the medal to Vera Kuznetsova, wife of the late ambassador. Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Russian President's Representative for the Middle East and Africa, was also present.
The UAE Ambassador commended Kuznetsov's efforts that contributed to promoting the friendly relations between the UAE and Russia in all spheres.
For their part, the family of the late Ambassador and Bogdanov extended their sincere thanks to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa for this kind gesture that represents loyalty and appreciation for the efforts of the late Ambassador.
