- In line with the general trend towards the progressive development of Russian-UAE relations, the interaction between our countries in the humanitarian sphere is intense in nature.
- Russia is traditionally viewed here as a reliable, long-term partner with high cultural, scientific, technical and educational potential. Work continues on the creation of a legal framework for bilateral relations in the above-mentioned areas.
- In particular, in October 2014, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research.
- In June 2016, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology (Abu Dhabi) signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation in educational, scientific and innovative activities.

- The Russian International School has been operating in Dubai since 1996, which conducts classes in accordance with Russian curricula. Branches of the Moscow Financial and Industrial University "Synergy" and the St. Petersburg State University of Economics have been opened in the same city.
