HOW TO APPLY & OBTAIN A POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FROM THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: (A) Applicants who were holding Emirates ID Card during their residence in the United Arab Emirates and wish to apply to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from the UAE can only apply by lodging an application online. please visit the website: www.moi.gov.ae .In order to be eligible to apply online, you need only the 15 digits number of your Emirates ID Card. It doesn’t matter whether its validity is valid or expired. Change the interface to ENGLISH by clicking the word English at the top of your left-hand side. Please fulfill the following while you are lodging your application online: Start the online lodging of your application by clicking: Criminal Record Certificate for clients outside country 1. Enter the 15 digits number of your Emirates ID Card and then click: verify. 2. Mobile: Your Australian number. 3. Email: your current email address. 4. Purpose of use: outside the country. 5. Issuance Emirate: Abu Dhabi. 6. Country: Australia. 7. Submit your application. If the applicant manages to lodge and complete his/her application online successfully and there is no police record against him/her in the UAE, the UAE Police will send to him/her a copy of a Police Clearance Certificate to his/her email address within 5 -10 working days or less. This copy is not a final one. please check first your details in the copy of your PCC and make sure that all your details are correct. If there is any mistake, please chat online with the issuing authority in the UAE through the same website. The chatting icon is on your right-hand side at the bottom of the website. Post the following copies for obtaining the final & legalized copy of PCC to the Embassy of UAE in Canberra to: (EMBASSY OF UAE ATT. CONSULAR SECTION P. O. Box 6006 Kingston ACT 2604 Phone: 02-6286 8802) Please note that: there is online fee to be paid for the Embassy for obtaining the final & legalized copy of the PCC. (Visit www.mofa.gov.ae - register for the payment) 1. Copy of the online payment receipt. 2. Copy of the Police Clearance Certificate which is sent to you by the UAE Police. 3. A pre-paid self-addressed return envelope (registered post A4 size) to post to you the final & legalized copy of your Police Clearance Certificate. If applicants couldn’t manage to find their Emirates ID Card or at least its 15 digits number, they have to contact his previous employer / sponsor in the UAE to obtain the number of his/her Emirates ID Card. If you couldn’t succeed, you can try option (B) shown below. (B) Please note that the following options can only for those who have never hold or issued for them a UAE ID Card during their residence in the UAE). (a) By traveling (applicant) in person to the UAE and apply directly by approaching to the Department of Criminal Investigation Department in UAE Ministry of Interior. (b) By authorizing a friend or relative who is currently residing in the UAE to carry out the procedures of obtaining a PCC on your behalf. The authorization letter has to be authenticated from Australian DFAT and then it has to be legalized by the Embassy of UAE. If you are going to authorize somebody, you need to fulfill the following requirements and apply to the Department of Criminal Investigation Department in UAE Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi. 1. Obtain Ten Finger Print Certificate form the Australian Police. 2. Authenticate the Finger Print Certificate from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade in one of its offices in the Australian States & Territories. 3. Pay the online fee of the legalization for your Finger Print Certificate to the Embassy of UAE in Canberra. 4. Pay the online fee for the legalization of the authorization letter to the Embassy of UAE in Canberra (if you decide to do the authorization letter). 5. Contact the consular section in the Embassy of UAE in Canberra for the procedures of the online payment of legalization fee). 6. Post to the Embassy of UAE (EMBASSY OF UAE ATT. CONSULAR SECTION P. O. Box 6006 Kingston ACT 2604) the authenticated finger Print Certificate, a copy of the online payment receipt, covering letter with your details and a pre-paid self-addressed return envelope to post to you the legalized finger Print Certificate. After you fulfill the above requirements and receive the legalized FP from the Embassy of the UAE, send the following documents to a friend or relative who can do the process on your behalf from Abu Dhabi Police Head Quarter: a) The original legalized Finger Print Certificate. b) The attached filled form. c) 2 recent passport size photos (one to be affixed in the form). d) Copies of your new, old passport & of UAE Residency visa.

How to pay the documents legalization fees online ?

What are the UAE Entry Visa Requirements

Holders of the Australian diplomatic and official passports are required to apply to the Embassy of the UAE for obtaining an Entry Visit Visa prior to their travel to the UAE. Please include the following copies of documents during the lodging of the visa application: · Coloured and clear copies of the visa applicant's t Bio-data passport page and its cover (which shows the type of the passport) as well as the original passport. · A Completed visa application form by answering all the questions, typing applicant’s details and signing it. Applicants who hold official or Diplomatic Australian passports can provide the sponsor's details by mentioning Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or Australian General Consulate in Dubai as well as the address.). · Original visa application form as well as a coloured copy. · Applicant's two recent & coloured passport photos size: (600x600 pixels minimum to 1200 x1200 pixles maximum). Please affix one of it in the visa application and write the applicant's name in the back side of the photo. · A Third Person Note from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade from one of its offices in the Australian States, stating that the purpose of entry, date of arrival & duration of stay in the UAE as well as visa type, single or multiple. Nationals of the countries holding ordinary/normal passports who cannot obtain an entry visit visa upon arrival at one of the UAE airports, can apply through one of the following prior to their travel to the UAE: · Online: through Emirates or Etihad Air-line (you can find the link from Emirates or Etihad web site. · Through a hotel in which you are going to stay in the UAE. · Through a relative or friend who resides in the UAE. · Through Travel Agencies based in the UAE. · General requirements: · A Passport with a validity of at least six months or more from the date of the entry to the UAE. · Round trip/return or at least on-going airline ticket which shows that the passenger is going to continue his/her trip to a third destination. Transit Visa Regulations: Transit Visa could be granted to a passenger transiting through one of the UAE airports to a third destination by the concerned authorities of the airport. This type of visa will allow the passenger to stay in the UAE for 96 hours or less. The passenger can apply for a Transit Visa upon arrival at the UAE airport. Any passenger who fulfills the following conditions will be eligible to apply for a transit visa upon arrival. However, it is up to the airport authority to approve or reject his/her application. § A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months or more. § An airline ticket that shows the continuation of the passenger’s trip to a third destination. § Departing the UAE within 96 hours from the period of the obtaining of Transit Visa.
