General information for travelers:

All travelers entering or leaving Lebanon must apply from the customs office to declare their belongings. Passengers and their luggage are subject to inspection. Management can, if it deems it appropriate, conduct a survey of the traveler.

Firstly - Outbound travelers:

It is permitted to sell goods on duty-free shops traveling from Lebanon in retail or in bulk without specifying quantities, provided that every sale is accompanied by a regular re-export transaction and that the goods are registered in the manifest of the plane or the ship, as appropriate.

- Every traveler must declare in writing the departure from the following enumeration of personal belongings that he accompanies with him and wishes to return to Lebanon duty-free: fur and precious coats, jewelry and jewelry, watches and cameras and similar items, whose value exceeds two million and four thousand Lebanese Liras // 2 , 400,000 LBP //.

- It is absolutely forbidden to take out weapons, ammunition, drugs, objects and coins.

- Every person, when undertaking a physical transfer of negotiable funds of all kinds (banknotes and coins, drawing bonds, order bonds, checks, payment orders, bearer shares, payment cards with prepaid value ... etc) by carrying them personally or by a bag or by any other means, to disclose it to the customs authorities when its value exceeds the amount of $ 15,000,000 / dollars or its equivalent in other currencies.

Secondly - Upcoming travelers:

- The value or the amount of things that are allowed to be entered without restriction and exempt from fees is determined by the company of incoming travelers, whether they are purchased from duty-free shops or from abroad, as follows:

*First Category - Tobacco: A maximum of 800 cigarettes, or 1,000 grams of tobacco per pipe, or 50 cigars or 1,000 grams of tobacco.

Passengers traveling to Lebanon with the intention of summer vacation are also authorized to enter / 800 / cigarettes or / 1000 / grams of tobacco exempt from fees for each person during the summer season, which ranges between the first of June and October 31 of each year.

Second Category - Spirits: Up to two liters of whiskey, champagne, cognac, or any other similar drink, or four liters for all other drinks.
Third Category - Perfumes: 1 liter cologne, perfume 100 grams.
Fourth Category - Medicines: the quantity needed for personal use.
Fifth Category - Non-commercial personal needs within the following limits:

Five hundred thousand Lebanese Liras / 500,000/LL for Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian and foreign travelers residing in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan, coming from the Syrian Arab Republic or the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, by road. Two million Lebanese Liras / 2,000,000/LL for all travelers coming to Lebanon.
