HKSAR passport holders are granted a visit visa for 30 days on arrival in the UAE.
No application in advance of travel is necessary. If further stay is required, an application for an extension should be made to the local General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs three days prior to the expiry date (chargeable services).
All visitors should have a valid return travel ticket and a passport valid for a minimum period of six months.
Please refer to the following link for details on customs regulations of the UAE, which covers not only drugs and medication but also money, duty free allowances and dangerous items such as firearms and weapons. (https://www.abudhabiairport.ae/en/passenger-guide/arrival/procedures/customs)
Hong Kong’s official currency is the Hong Kong Dollar (HKD), while the official Chinese currency, the Renminbi (CNY), is also widely accepted.
Despite the fact that the HKD is linked to the US Dollar, most commercial establishments in Hong Kong do not accept USD for cash payment.
