The UAE adopted an active approach to diplomacy with a marked openness to the outside world. Establishing an extensive network of relations with various countries around the world, essentially based on the respect for the principles and charters of the United Nations and the international community, foremost of which are democracy and human rights, and non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs.
The UAE has also supported the values of tolerance and multiculturalism, rejecting discrimination and hatred by adopting nationwide programs in partnership with various local, regional and international bodies.
One of the main objectives of the UAE diplomacy is to establish strategic relations and partnerships in the political, economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, educational fields in addition to partnerships in the field of health, to enhance the country’s standing internationally.
Bangladesh and UAE are both the Muslim majority states which have similarity with religion and other socio-economic culture, similar national realities and complementary development goals.
Both countries have cordial diplomatic, sound economic and business relations since independent in 1971.
The relationship has now been diversified in various areas beyond the strong political and defense partnership i.e., trade & investment, energy & power, infrastructure, tourism, technical and cultural cooperation, aid & development cooperation etc.
The two countries are also working closely in different international and regional forums.
Both countries are time-tested friends indeed and the deep-rooted existing excellent relations would be further expanded in various dimension in coming days.
