  • Diplomatic relations were established between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco in 1972, and the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "may God have mercy on him," agreed to establish an embassy for the state in Rabat on 21/6/1972.
  • The Emirati-Moroccan relations are witnessing continuous development in political, economic, media, scientific, tourism, security, cultural and judicial fields, thanks to the high directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI king of Morocco, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
  • The UAE-Moroccan joint committee was also established on May 16, 1985 in Rabat, and held its first session in Abu Dhabi from 22 to 24 November 1988 under the chairmanship of the foreign ministers of the two countries.
