- However, relations moved to a new plane when President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner visited Abu Dhabi in January 2013, where she met with UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
- Likewise, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum -Vice President, Primer Minister and Ruler of Dubai- visited Argentina in 2014; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has visited Argentina on five occasions.
- Over the years, several bilateral agreements were signed on taxation, investments, and visa exemption; as well as on cooperation as regards food and agriculture, commerce, sports, cooperation between the state news agencies Telam (Argentina) and WAM (UAE), and between both diplomatic academies, among others.
