Attestation of Official Documents, Certificates and Commercial Invoices

1. Log in to one of  MoFAIC’s smart channels:

  • For individuals: use the UAE PASS.
  • For companies: Create a user account on MoFAIC’s Website

2. From the “Individual or Companies” service list, select Attestation of Official Documents, Certificates and Commercial Invoices” and click “Start Service” to apply.

3. Select Location of Attestation 

  • For a document(s) issued within the UAE but not attested by MoFAIC in the UAE
    a) Select Happiness Centres in the UAE
    b) Then choose courier service or one of the centres for a visit
    Note: Ensure that the appropriate governing body has authenticated the document(s) either physically or electronically. Example: The Ministry of Health and Prevention or the local health authority must attest a birth certificate.
  • For documents issued within the UAE that require attestation by UAE’s Embassy or Consulate Abroad
    a) Select UAE Embassy or Consulate Abroad
    b) Then select the mission you wish to complete the attestation at
    Note: Ensure that the document(s) has been attested by one of MoFAIC's Customer Happiness Centres in the UAE
  • For documents issued outside the UAE that require attestation by the UAE mission at the country of origin
    a) Select UAE Embassy or Consulate Abroad
    b) Then select the mission you wish to complete the attestation at
    Note: Ensure that the relevant governing body each document has attested each document. Example: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of issuance.
  • For documents issued outside the UAE that require attestation in the UAE
    a) Select Happiness Centres in the UAE
    b) Then choose courier service or one of the centres for a visit
    Note: Ensure that the documents  has been attested by UAE embassy or consulate outside the UAE OR attesting the document physically or electronically by a foreign mission in the UAE

4. Select types of documents, the number of documents you wish to have attested and these documents’ attributes. You can add more than one type of document in one transaction

5. Fill in courier details (if selected earlier)

6. Complete the payment process. Once done, you will receive an SMS and email with a reference number and transaction details.

Required Documents
