Attestation of Official Documents, Certificates and Commercial Invoices

1- Log into one of  MoFAIC’s smart channels:

  • For individuals: use the UAE PASS.
  • For companies: Create a user account on MoFAIC Website: www.mofaic.gov.ae.

2- From the “Individual or Companies” service list, select Attestation of Official Documents, Certificates and Commercial Invoices” and click “Start Service” to apply.

3- Select the origin of the document(s) and the type of document(s).

4- Check the type of document(s) that you have:

For a document(s) issued within the UAE but not attested by MoFAIC in the UAE:

  • Ensure that the appropriate governing body has authenticated the document(s). Example: a birth certificate must be attested by the Ministry of Health and Prevention or the local health authority.
  • Mention the number of certificates.
  • Select the UAE as a location. You can then choose to make an appointment at the nearest Customer Happiness Centre or select courier service.'
  • If you opt for an appointment, please select a time, date, and proceed with the payment.
  • If you opt for courier service, you will be redirected to the payment gateway, and asked to fill in the pick-up and drop-off location.
  • You will receive an SMS and email with a reference number and transaction details.

For documents issued within the UAE that need to be attested outside the UAE:

  • Ensure that the document(s) has been attested by one of MoFAIC's Customer Happiness Centers in the UAE.
  • Mention the number of certificates.
  • Select the country and mission where you wish to attest the document(s).
  • You will be directed to the payment gateway to complete your request.
  • You will receive an SMS and email with a reference number and transaction details. 

For documents issued outside the UAE that require attestation by the UAE mission at the country of origin:

  • Ensure that the relevant governing body each document has attested each document. Example: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at the country of origin of the document.
  • Mention the number of certificates.
  • Select the country and mission where you wish to attest the document(s).
  • You will be directed to the payment gateway to complete your request.
  • You will receive an SMS and email with a reference number and transaction details. 

For document(s) issued outside the UAE that requires attestation in the UAE:

  • Ensure that the UAE mission has attested the document(s) at the country of origin or by the mission of their country of origin accredited to the UAE
  • Mention the number of certificates.
  • Select the UAE as a location. You can then choose to make an appointment at the nearest Customer Happiness Centre or select courier service.
  • If you opt for an appointment, please select a time and date and proceed with the payment.
  • If you opt for courier service, you will be redirected to the payment gateway and then asked to fill in the pick-up and drop-off location.
  • You will receive an SMS and email with a reference number and details of your transaction.
