What documents are required for Attestation within UAE?

If the document to be attested was issued outside the UAE, it must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where it was issued, as well as by the UAE mission in such country. However, if the document was issued within the UAE, it must be attested and approved by the concerned official authority.

Are there any attestation services intended to people with special needs?

MoFAIC provides e-mobile service to people with special needs, in order to provide them with a quick and distinguished attestation service without needing to enter the attestation centers. Currently, this service is available at the Marina Mall attestation office in Abu Dhabi

Select the service, login (user name and password), follow the steps, take into account addding the email, then select service location (country name - UAE mission).

Select (services), login with user name and password), follow instructions (taking into account e-mail registration), then select service location (Name of Country-Mission)

How to send documents to MoFAIC after successful payment of attestation fees inside the UAE?

When you select (Delivery Service), once payment is made, you will be directed to a form to enter the location at which will will hand over and receive your document (s). The courier will contact you to arrange delivery. Courier service payment is only accepted in cash (AED 40) for the moment.

• Note: this service is only available within the UAE currently.

What are the procedures to follow for the recovery (refund) of paid amounts?

1. If you are outside the UAE and the amount has been deducted from your account, please bring the supporting documents to the UAE Embassy or Mission in your country in order to authenticate transaction.
2. If you are in the UAE, please use the refund service (electronic refund) via our website.

The required document from individuals and corporations are as follow:

1. Receipt of the amount to be refunded.
2. Bank statement showing deducted amount.
3. Passport copy.

Inside the UAE (holders of UAE Identity Card):

1. Receipt of the amount to be refunded.

Is it possible to issue a permanent or temporary permit for a local employee?

Permits are only issued to holders of diplomatic or consular identity card.

Is a police report required to issue a replacement for a lost airport entry permit?

Yes, you should visit the nearest police station to obtain a certificate of loss, then submit it via MoFAIC website so that a new card can be issued

What is the time required to renew an airport entry permit?

7-15 days

How can I request for a refund of a transaction?

Refunds can be requested through the Ministry of Finance, you can reach the page by hovering over the services tab and selecting the "Auto Refund" link under Other

How can I get my payment receipt?

1. Login on the website or application using your username and password.
2. Choose Tasks (My Requests).
3. You can find schedule including (Request ID – Follow-up Number – E-Service Name – Creation Date – Last Action).
4. Click your request ID number, which is start with (ATS- 202XXXXXX) the page, will update automatically.
5. Certificates: you can find schedule including (Certificates Types – Documents Type – Quantity).
6. In the same schedule, you can find your Payment Receipt.

example: a birth certificate will need to be attested by Ministry of Health & Prevention or the local health authority

The location of the collection and delivery must be the same

How many documents can I submit for in one request?

As long as the documents are in the same group, you can submit one or multiple documents. If you have 2 or more different types of documents within the same cost, you can select “Other Certificates” in the drop-down menu.

Example 1: Two birth certificates (each costs AED 150) and a marriage certificate (costs AED 150) can be grouped as 3 documents under “Other Certificates”

Example 2: A birth certificate (costs AED 150) and a commercial power of attorney (costs AED 2000) CAN NOT be grouped as one transaction

Are you unable to complete the online payment process?

If the error is displayed on the first page of the service, please make sure to enter all data correctly.
Moving to the second page of the application, please make sure to click on "Complete Payment" option, then agree to the terms and conditions.
However, if the error appeared on the data entry page of card payment, it is often because the card payment data entered may be wrong, or you have to contact your bank. Because, some banks restrict using cards outside the UAE. The error may be due to an administrative or a technical issue, at which point the bank will have the authority to follow up on the issue, inform you of the cause and solve the problem.
Then, you can complete the application form and try to make the payment again.

How to process refund of paid amounts?

1. If you are outside the UAE and the amount has been deducted from your account, please bring the supporting documents to the UAE Embassy or Mission in your country in order to attest the transaction.

2. If you are within the UAE, please use the refund service (Electronic Refund) on our website.

1. The Receipt (to be refunded).
2. The Bank statement showing deducted amount.
3. Passport Copy.

Q. What are the steps to complete the payment process?

1. login to MoFAIC website or the Smart Mobile App using your username and password.
2. Select (My Applications) tasks.
3. You can see the table showing (Applicant Card, Reference Number, E-service Name, E-service Status, Application Date, and Date of Last Action)
4. Click on your Application Number, which starts with (ATS-202XXXXXX) the page will update automatically.
5. Certificates: You can see the table showing (Place of Issue, Certificate Type, and Number).
6. In the same table, you can complete the payment process.

Newborn Babies Emergency Passport Application is submitted via MoFAIC website or Smart Mobile App (UAE MOFAIC, all required documents must be attached:
• Copy of child’s Birth Certificate attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the receiving state and the UAE Embassy abroad.
• Copy of Father’s Passport or ID Card
• Copy of Mother’s Passport

3. You will receive an SMS and Email with a Reference Number confirming successfully application. 4. Visit the UAE Embassy in the host country to hand over the original passport, personal photo and pay incurred fees at the Embassy.
5. When the passport is renewed, you will be contacted to visit the Embassy and receive the original renewed passport.
