What documents are required for Attestation within UAE?

If the document to be attested was issued outside the UAE, it must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where it was issued, as well as by the UAE mission in such country. However, if the document was issued within the UAE, it must be attested and approved by the concerned official authority.

What are the procedures to follow for the recovery (refund) of paid amounts?

1. If you are outside the UAE and the amount has been deducted from your account, please bring the supporting documents to the UAE Embassy or Mission in your country in order to authenticate transaction.
2. If you are in the UAE, please use the refund service (electronic refund) via our website.

As long as the documents are in the same group, you can submit one or multiple documents. If you have 2 or more different types of documents within the same cost, you can select “Other Certificates” in the drop-down menu.

Example 1: Two birth certificates (each costs AED 150) and a marriage certificate (costs AED 150) can be grouped as 3 documents under “Other Certificates”

However, if the error appeared on the data entry page of card payment, it is often because the card payment data entered may be wrong, or you have to contact your bank. Because, some banks restrict using cards outside the UAE. The error may be due to an administrative or a technical issue, at which point the bank will have the authority to follow up on the issue, inform you of the cause and solve the problem.
Then, you can complete the application form and try to make the payment again.

Newborn Babies Emergency Passport Application is submitted via MoFAIC website or Smart Mobile App (UAE MOFAIC, all required documents must be attached:
• Copy of child’s Birth Certificate attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the receiving state and the UAE Embassy abroad.
• Copy of Father’s Passport or ID Card
• Copy of Mother’s Passport
• Copy of Family Book (All pages)
In case the spouse (UAE National or Foreigner) is not added to the Family Book, attach the Marriage Certificate (Attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Embassy of the receiving state.

What are the procedures to apply for passport renewal service?

1. Login to one of MoFAIC smart channels via UAE PASS by inserting the username and password of the UAE PASS, or create a new username
2. From “Individual Services” list select “Issue Passports and Return Documents”. Select Renew Passports of UAE Nationals Abroad”. Click “Start Service” to complete the service application form.
3. You will receive an SMS and Email with a Reference Number confirming successfully application. 4. Visit the UAE Embassy in the receiving state to hand over the original passport, personal photo and pay fees at the Embassy.
5. When the passport is renewed, the UAE national will be contacted to visit the Embassy and take the original renewed passport.
