Lost or Damaged Airport Entry Permit Replacement

 

This service is provided to accredited foreign missions wishing to replace a lost or damaged airport entry permit to access Abu Dhabi International Airport or Dubai International Airport.

 

Customer’s Journey

 

The mission can apply for replacement of lost or damaged airport entry permits on MoFA Website: www.mofa.gov.ae or Smart Mobile App: (UAE MoFA) using the following steps:

  • Enter the username and password, select the permit type (permanent – temporary), and the airport (Abu Dhabi – Dubai).
  • Enter the number of the lost or damaged permits; all information of the permit owner and required documents previously attached will show on the system (you must attach a proof of loss (police report) or damage (photo).
  • When submitting the replacement application, the customer will be notified that the request is under process.
  • When the permit is issued, the customer will be notified to collect the permit from the Security Permits Section at the Sky Park building in Abu Dhabi International Airport (the customer must present an ID as proof that he is a staff member of the Embassy).
  • For Dubai Airport entry permits, please visit the Security Clearance Section at Dubai International Airport to collect the permit.

Service Fees
• At Abu Dhabi International Airport, embassies are exempt based on the reciprocity principle. • At Dubai International Airport, holders of Diplomatic ID cards, International Organizations ID cards and Special ID cards are exempt from replacement fees, while staff under the embassy’s sponsorship will be charged AED270 for replacement of a lost permit, and AED 120 for the replacement of a damaged permit.

Required Documents

  • A personal photograph (passport size 6x4cm) with white background.
  • A colour copy of the passport.
  • A copy of the ID issued by MoFA or a colour copy of the residence visa.
  • A colour copy of the unified number page in the passport (for UAE nationals and GCC citizens), if applicable.
  • The applicant must fill in and sign the information form for security clearance. For Abu Dhabi International Airport, fill in the information form for a Permanent Airport Entry Permit or Temporary Airport Entry Permit. For the Dubai International Airport, the applicant must fill in and sign the information form for security clearance and attach a certificate of loss issued by the airport police.
