UAE Ambassador discusses stronger cooperation with Bhutan.

A UAE delegation led by Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al-Banna, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of India and Non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bhutan, has held a series of meetings with officials of Bhutan, in the capital city Thimphu.

They discussed issues of mutual interest.

Al-Banna, accompanied by the UAE delegation, met with Bhutan's Foreign Minister Lyonpo Damcho Dorji. They discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and Bhutan and the country's participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai that will be held in Dubai under the theme 'Connecting minds, Creating the Future'.

The UAE diplomat emphasised that the UAE is looking forward to Bhutan's participation in the event. Dr. Al-Banna and the UAE delegation also met with Lyonpo Lekey Dorji, Minister of Economic Affairs of Bhutan. They also discussed issues of mutual interest and ways to enhance ties between the two countries.

Al-Banna also held meeting with Phub Tshering Secretary General of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
