Many official visits of officials took place from the two countries since the seventies on different level of Ministers for the development of bilateral relations:
- The visit by the former Queen of the Netherlands to the country with a delegation consisting of current King (then Crown prince) and the former Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs and meeting with His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum , UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and with senior officials of the State , during the period from 7-10 January 2012. This visit had the greatest impact in increasing the level of cooperation between the two countries to wider horizons.
- His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Minister of Foreign Affairs visited the Netherlands in March 2013 and met with H.E Frans Timmermans, Dutch Foreign Minister in The Hague.
- The Dutch foreign minister also visited the United Arab Emirates on September 11, 2013, where he met with his Emirati counterpart and discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries.
