How do I get my diploma, university degree, transcript, birth certificate, death certificate, marriage license, police records, police report, personal power of attorney certified and attested?

If the document(s) is issued to you by a US government entity or a US institution, you must first have it authenticated by the US Department of State Office of Authentication in Washington, DC. 

Please review the US Department of State requirements for authentication. These include: Attest and certify the document(s) with a notary (notary public or notary at a local court).
Have the document(s) legalized at the local Secretary of State office. 
Check the list of Secretaries of State to find one in your area. 
For any questions about the above, please contact the US Department of State.
Once you have received your authenticated document(s) from the US Department of State, bring or mail the document(s) to the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates with a money order for the appropriate amount ($40.84 for each certificate) payable to UAE Consulate General Los Angeles and a pre-paid return FedEx or express mail envelope.

I am an American citizen traveling to the UAE with my family, but my spouse and/or child is not an American citizen, do they need a visa to travel with me to the UAE?

If your spouse or child is a citizen of the countries listed below, he or she does not need to obtain a visa prior to entry, if the duration of stay is less than one month. 
This includes travel for business, tourism or in transit: United States, UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Finland, South Korea, Spain, Monaco, Vatican, Iceland, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. 
If your spouse or child is a citizen of a country not listed above--even if they have a US Green Card or a US student visa-they will need to obtain a visa for travel to the UAE.

If your stay will be longer than one month, then you and your family, regardless of citizenship, will need to obtain a visit visa. 

I am an American traveling to the UAE; do I need a visa?

Americans with US passports valid for more than six months are welcome to enter the UAE, and do not need to obtain a visa to enter the country, if the duration of stay is less than one month. This includes travel for business, tourism or in transit. This also includes US citizens with visas or entry stamps from other countries.

I am an American traveling to the UAE; will the UAE allow me entry if I have an Israeli stamp in my passport?
