Co-organized by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the SAR government and the Consulate General of the UAE in Hong Kong, a webinar themed "Hong Kong-UAE Partnership: Immense Opportunities" was held on Tuesday (May 24) afternoon.
At this webinar, Government and business leaders from Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) shared their insights on how to rise up to the many challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as available opportunities for strengthening economic and trade connections between the two places.
A panel discussion was then held, in which Mr. Larry Kwok Chairman of Hong Kong Law Foundation, Mr. Nicholas Ho, Co-Convenor of Belt and Road Working Group under Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Fahad Al Gergawi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investment Development Agency, H.E. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dr. Patrick Lau Deputy Executive Director of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, share their insights on HK-UAE cooperation.
Enterprises, financiers, professional services providers, and start-ups are encouraged to explore business opportunities in the Middle East market and foster closer collaboration with the UAE.
