- In October 2016, the Bulgarian Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski and the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, have signed, during his visit to Sofia, an agreement in order to strengthen and deepen the economic and political relations between the governments of the Republic of Bulgaria and the United Arab Emirates.
- In June 2017, the Bulgarian Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski and the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, have signed an agreement aimed to put a road map for cooperation between the two countries in the field of air services and economic relations, and reached to the agreement to raise the relations between the two countries to the diplomatic level of Ambassadors.
