His Excellency Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to France presented his credentials to H.E. Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, on September 17th 2024.
His Excellency Fahad Saeed Al Raqbani served as Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Canada from January 29, 2018, until his appointment as Ambassador to France.
Ambassador Al Raqbani brings a wealth of experience from serving at the highest levels within UAE’s investment and economic development sector.
His Excellency has held leadership positions with Mubadala Investment Company, the sovereign wealth fund of Abu Dhabi, with approximately $280 U.S. billion portfolio, spanning into more than 50 countries, to the Abu Dhabi Council for Economic Development, where he spearheaded several economic diversification and sustainability initiatives.
Since His Excellency has been posted to Canada, the UAE and Canada have further developed their strong bilateral relationship - from Canada removing the visa requirement for all UAE nationals to travel to Canada, signing two MOUs on Space Cooperation, and expanded the bilateral air transport agreement to mention just a few advancements.
His Excellency has also taken the initiative to travel across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland & Labrador to learn more about Canada and its people.
