Welcome to the website of the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in Houston

Welcome from Mubarak Almheiri, Consul General of the United Arab Emirates in Houston.

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, I want to thank you for taking this opportunity to learn more about the UAE and the numerous services offered by the Consulate and the Medical Office in Houston.

Houston, one of the top US cities for innovation, plays a key role in advancing the UAE-US bilateral relationship in a number of areas such as Oil & Gas, healthcare, high technology, and Tourism.

Moreover, many Emirati students come to study at Texas’s top schools like University of Texas, Texas A&M, Rice University, and Texas Southern University.

The UAE, with its free trade zones incentives, attracts American and multinational companies to expand and grow in the MENA region.

We are honored to host more than 1,000 US companies and are proud that the UAE is the largest export market for the United States in the Arab World.

As the local representative of UAE diplomacy in Texas, my mission is to develop and sustain, in coordination with the Embassy in Washington, DC, partnerships and exciting new projects with American academic institutions and companies.

As Consul General, I am keen to serve the UAE residents in Texas, and to offer them a variety of services including medical assistance, passport services and ID renewal.

Finally, I encourage you to explore this site and follow the Consulate on Twitter and Instagram to learn more about the UAE and the country’s bilateral relationship with the US.
