- The growing bilateral ties between both countries resulted in an increasing cooperation especially at the various economic levels.
- As a result, UAE ranks high among Arab and foreign countries investing in Egypt.
- On July 22nd, 2008 Egypt and the UAE signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries:
- The MoU on political consultations provides for regular bilateral talks to discuss relations and to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
- The MoU on reciprocal waiver of visa requirement enables diplomatic passport holders to enter, transit, and exit from the territory of each other's country, and allow them to stay in each other's territory for a maximum period of 90 days without a visa.
