The UAE Embassy in Hungary advises citizens of the country when visiting Hungary, by following these instructions: - 

  • Make sure to reserve accommodation in the safe areas and stay away from the distant places from the city center and verify the area in which the reservation is made through the map shown in the online reservation page.

  •  Restriction to the Hungarian laws and regulations, especially traffic laws. The car must be stopped in the places where parking is permitted, and it is specified in white color. The value of the parking is paid in electronic payment devices near the car park.

  •  Citizens of the country are exempt from obtaining a prior visa (for tourism), and the allowed stay of time for citizens of the country is 90 days.
  • As for the treatment visa, it is related to the treatment period. In this case, the competent authorities must be notified by bringing a medical report from the medical hospital when the period exceeds 90 days 
  • It is advisable for your passport to be accompanying you as it is proof of your identity, especially when you are traveling on trains between Hungary and neighboring European countries, in addition to maintaining an additional copy of the passport and identity (if necessary). 
  • Hungarian customs confiscate foodstuffs for the most amount, for personal use 
  • It is not allowed to enter any perishable food products such as meat products and their derivatives from cheese, milk and others.
  • It is preferable to attach the drugs used with the approved medical certificates, provided that the quantity of the drugs is proportional to the number of days of stay in Hungary
  • It is allowed to enter an amount not exceeding in the total amount of 10,000 Euros or the equivalent in other currencies per person, and more than that must be disclosed to the customs authorities. Otherwise, the person will be subject to suspension and a fine according to the amount he has. 
  • It is allowed to enter the number of 200 cigarettes only, and 100 pieces (cigars) for a person in the event of coming by air, while in the case of coming by land, only 20 cigarettes are allowed.
  • Smoking is not allowed in closed public places such as shopping centers, restaurants, offices and hotels.
