- The visa waiver agreement signed by the EU and the United Arab Emirates came into force on the 6th of May 2015.
- It provides for visa-free travel for the EU citizens, when travelling to the territory of the UAE and for the UAE citizens when travelling to the EU, for a period of 90 days in any 180-day period.
- Being part of the UE since 2007, Romania is included in this free-visa regime.
